As part of the celebrations to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the International Brigades, the Aberdeen Trade Union Council(ATUC) has organised an event to honour the memory of the International Brigaders from Aberdeen, who fought against Fascism during the Spanish Civil War. It will be held on Friday 14th October 7.30 till 11pm at Aberdeen Trades Council Social Club, 13 Adelphi, Aberdeen. All are invited to attend. Guest speaker will be Aberdeen City Councillor, Neil Cooney, whose uncle, Bob Cooney was a political activist and a Commissar in the 15th International Brigade. There will also be poetry and music |
